Forward-to-reverse shifting is a breeze on Boomer™ 4000 Series tractors, making them ideal for loader work, blade work and mowing. You also get the advantage of having 12 forward speeds and 12 reverse speeds. That’s more than you'll find on competitive utility tractors.

WORK FASTER WITH FEWER STOPS

You can get a lot more done in a day when you can shift from forward to reverse without coming to a complete stop. An easy-to-use 12x12 Synchro Shuttle Shift (SSS) transmission is available on all models.

CLUTCH-FREE SHUTTLING

You can also shuttle between forward and reverse without clutching with an optional 12x12 Electro-Hydraulic Shuttle Shift (EHSS) transmission that’s available on all models.

COMMON SENSE OPERATION

One hand is all it takes to shuttle. A handy left-hand, console-mounted shuttle lever leaves your right hand free to operate a loader or other implement.

Axle

EXTRA-STRENGTH SUPPORT FOR YOUR DREAMS

To boost your productivity, a front-wheel drive (FWD) axle is standard on all Boomer™ Compact Utility tractors. To enhance your ability to handle the most demanding loads, an induction-hardened rear axle is supported by heavy-duty cast-iron housings.

MOVING FORWARD WITH FWD

A FWD axle enhances productivity by:

* Reducing fuel consumption by as much 17% on dry soil and 22% on wet soil
* Increasing drawbar power by as much as 20% on dry soil and 35% on wet soil
* Reducing rear axle torque

EXTRA TRACTION ON DEMAND

It’s reassuring to have extra traction when you need it. Simply push down on the differential lock heel pedal to lock both rear wheels together for additional traction in slippery conditions.

Maintenance

MAINTENANCE MEETS CONVENIENCE

Maintaining a Boomer™ Compact Utility tractor is easy because all routine maintenance points are located on the right side of the engine. Plus, you can easily check engine oil level without raising the hood and without removing the loader.

FILL UP LESS OFTEN

On average, you can expect about eight hours of operation between fill-ups with the standard 13.5-gallon fuel tank (16.0-gallon on SuperSuite™ cab).

ACCESS DOESN’T GET ANY EASIER

For easy access to the engine, radiator, air cleaner, power steering reservoir and battery, the hood raises and pivots forward. Even when a loader or front blade is attached.

QUICK AND EASY FLUID LEVEL CHECKS

A dipstick located at the rear of the tractor allows you to check transmission, rear axle, and hydraulic system fluid levels. A large fill port is also provided here.
